bruxism had become something that require attention worldwide now days. What makes bruxism more interesting is the fact that it is concerned with the consistent grinding of the teeth by those who are affected.

Below are Risk Factor of Bruxism:

  • Stress. It will Increase anxiety, or stress can lead to teeth grinding and can anger and frustration.
  • Age. Bruxism is usually a common thing in young children, however it will normally goes away by adolescence.

It had been known that certain factors can lead to stress, which is the principal thing that had been implicated as the cause of nightly teeth grinding. Such factors are anger, frustration and anxiety.

When you are angry about something during the day, and you fail to resolve the anger before sleeping then you will find yourself thinking of what led to the anger while you are asleep and this will lead to the grinding of teeth. The frustration of having to wake up and go back to your uninteresting job the next day is another thing that can end up leading to this teeth grinding.

Age is one of the factor that may lead to bruxism. The younger one is the more the possibility of experiencing bruxism. As we know that young children are more susceptible to grind their teeth while sleeping.
